Welcome Sarah Lukeman, our new Pingala Association Convenor
At our October AGM, we announced Sarah Lukeman as the new Convenor of Pingala Association, following Andrew Brown stepping down from the role.
Sarah has been a driving force in the Pingala community for [insert years], previously serving as a committee member of the Association as well as Chairperson of the Pingala Cooperative. With a background in engineering, environmental management and sustainability consulting, she brings both technical expertise and a deep understanding of what makes community energy projects work.
Beyond Pingala, Sarah's commitment to community wellbeing shines through her board and committee roles with the Cancer Council NSW, Women's Health Research Translation and Impact Network, Centre for Women's Health Research, NSW Regional Health Partners and CT:IQ. This diverse experience in health, research and community advocacy gives her unique insights into building inclusive organisations that truly serve their communities.
Sarah is passionate about making clean energy accessible to everyone – especially renters, apartment dwellers, and others who've been left out of the renewable revolution. She knows that real change happens when communities come together, and she's excited to help Pingala grow its impact.

Build our community: Sarah wants to strengthen connections between members, volunteers, and partners. She's planning to create more opportunities for people to get involved, share ideas, and shape Pingala's direction.
Drive our strategic vision Working closely with the committee, Sarah will help guide our three-year strategy forward – expanding our renewable energy projects, improving how we communicate our impact, and ensuring Pingala stays strong and sustainable.
Champion energy democracy Sarah is passionate about ensuring everyone has a voice in our energy future. She'll be working to make sure Pingala's projects truly reflect and serve our community's needs.
